Spiral chutes are commonly used gravity separation equipment for separating iron ore, ilmenite, chromite, pyrite, tungsten, tin, tantalum, placer gold, zircon, rutile, monazite, phosphotyrite, and other non-ferrous, rare metal, and non-metallic minerals with varying specific gravities, with particle sizes ranging from 0.6-0.05mm (or, under special circumstances, finer materials up to 2mm), as well as other non-ferrous, rare metal, and non-metallic minerals.
With the advancement of mineral processing technology, chutes play a key role in the entire mineral separation process: enriching heavy minerals and discharging most tailings in one go, thus reducing the need for other equipment during subsequent concentration operations, reducing equipment investment, reducing plant footprint, and improving separation capacity.
Spiral chutes offer stable separation, high throughput, high efficiency, and strong adaptability to fluctuations in feed rate, concentration, particle size, and grade. They are also easy to install, require minimal floor space, and are moisture-, rust-, and corrosion-resistant. They are also power-free, have no powered components, and are silent. They are particularly suitable for placer mining along seashores, rivers, sandy beaches, and streams.
