Lithium Carbonate Rotary Kiln Product Introduction

Lithium carbonate is an inorganic compound, occurring as colorless monoclinic crystals or white powder with the chemical formula Li₂CO₃. It is soluble in dilute acid and slightly soluble in water, with a higher solubility in cold water than in hot water. It is insoluble in alcohol and acetone. It is widely used in ceramics, pharmaceuticals, catalysts, and as a raw material for lithium-ion batteries.

The rotary kiln calcining lithium carbonate equipment uses lepidolite as raw material and undergoes a series of processes including mixing, roasting, cooling, and crushing. Our company has been dedicated to the research of lithium carbonate rotary kilns for many years, studying various common problems associated with these kilns and effectively addressing issues such as ring formation, low production, and high energy consumption.

Highlights

1. The design of the lithium carbonate rotary kiln fully considers the rotation angle at the deflection support of the cylinder, extending the life of the refractory bricks and castables. This ensures material conversion rates, achieving over 98% for spodumene and over 85% for lepidolite.

2. Large-diameter, low-aspect-ratio roller bearings are used to improve reliability, and the bearings are self-aligning.

3. The lithium carbonate rotary kiln utilizes a new type of open gear cover seal, providing excellent sealing performance.

4. The double-layer spring plate seal provides a thermal insulation layer, which helps improve the reliability and service life of the lithium carbonate rotary kiln.

Operating Principle

Raw materials such as lepidolite and spodumene, mixed with other materials, enter the kiln's tail drum at high temperature for roasting. Within the kiln, the materials are affected by the kiln's inclination and rotation, causing radial and lateral movement. These materials are carried to higher altitudes, where they exchange heat with the high-temperature flue gas, generating a thermal reaction and achieving the desired roasting effect. The kiln speed is regulated by a variable-frequency motor, allowing the kiln residence time to be adjusted according to the reaction time requirements of the reactants. The burner is equipped with natural gas flow and air volume monitoring and adjustment functions to adjust the flue gas temperature and flow rate to suit the raw materials' roasting temperature range.
